My chin hates the sand. She won't even bother getting in it. We tried it several times and then switched back to Kaytee Chin Dust.

I started buying this stuff when it came out. At first I was happy that it wasnt as powdery and didnt get the room dusty, but after a while i noticed my chinchilla's fur not looking all that great. I switched back to Kaytee dust and noticed an immediate improvement in her coat. I would not recommend this stuff as its just not effective in what it's supposed to do. Its not fine enough.

This was the first dustbath I used, mainly because it came with the house. I didn't like the sand, powder is much more efficient. Although my chin liked it, I noticed his coat is healthier since I went to Katee or Blue Cloud.

This is the same dust that comes inside the dust houses superpet makes. The dust is ok when needed but Blue cloud should be used as this is no where near as fine and the quality isn't the greatest.

Give me the dust ... even with it's disadvantages ... it does the best job for the chins ... sand just doesn't get it.
