Congrats. Can you post a picture of your chinchilla and maybe the cage?

You must stay busy with all those pets. My parents thought I had alot of pets and I have to chinchillas, a puppy and i had to cats but not the puppy at the same time, but the cats live with my ex and its hard to see them.

I hope to one day be able to visit Ireland. Have you lived there your hole life?

I got my two chinchillas from a pet store and lucky they have been healthy. I'v had mine for about 3 years.

My boyfriend lives 40 min. away from me. I eneded up bringing them here on thursday night. We got there cage and everything set up before we put them in it. They have adjusted pretty well. They are eating, drinking and came out last night for play time. I'm not to sure how often i'd bring them down here. Typically I'm just here on Friday nights and i go back home on sat. With it being a long weekend I was going to be at his house till tues. If i would stay the whole weekened I may bring them every time. If i'm just going to spend one night I don't think I'd bring them here, i'd just have my mom take care of them.

Mine have never gotten sick from going to the vet or anything. They do pretty well in there travel cage in the car. I keep them on the floor of the front seat so I can keep an eye on them, and they are of the sunlight.

i have an extra cage now bc i bought a cage that is 2 plus as big as there old cage. My boyfriend wants me to spend more time over there but i feel bad being away from my chins and having my mom take care of them. Would it be ok to move them back and forth or to much stress and i should just keep them at one or the other?

General Chat / chin cage my cat litter box

is it safe to have the chin cage in the same room but other side of the litter box in the basement?

so i guess it would be ok to take the chins over there. Just keep a close eye on them?

I also have an extra cage for my chins because I bought them a bigger one and I suggested leaving the smaller one at his house. He thought it wouldn't be a good idea to move them back and forth. I wasn't sure if that would be ok or not.

General Chat / Cats that don't have shots, safe to be around chins?

I may be moving into my boyfriends house. I may move my chinchilla cage over their first. He has two cats. They never go outside but they aren't up to date on their shots. Is it safe if I bring my chinchillas over to his house?

Ha, I have never heard of the pee posts and now its not in just one place its all over the house always on carpet. I wonder if the spray I have isn't working. I don't have it right next to me, its the one with baking soda in it i think ti help make it smell better. It does say for puppy accidents or something.

i think i'm going to have to start to cage train her or something. I took her out just an hr ago and i was about to again bc i was going to bed. She peeed in the house. Thats the second time today she has done that same thing. I tell her no and clean in up and take her and the paper towl out so she knows she needs to go out. She has went more in the house the past few days then i think when i first got her. My mom watches her during the day while i'm at school bc i still live with my parents. I grew up with a golden and they never caged trained him and i don't think it took him this long to learn. I know they are both diff dogs. I'm just frustrated. She was doing soo good. And only went in the house here and there. I don't know why she is doing so bad now.

i have puppy spray stuff i put down. I still have some spots to clean up. If i catch her in the act which is prob less then half i do tell her no and take it. But before i clean it and then take it outside to show her where it goes. I don't think i am praising her enough though. I'm going to start to give her a treat outside right when she goes.

I know chinchillas aren't suppose to be a drafty place, but what about by a vent? Is that safe for them?
