I HATE this hammock! The materials used are not ment for chinchillas! The straps are chewed through in seconds, it has exposed threads, and the nylon is shredded in minutes. I bought 2 for my chins and they didn't even last for 2 whole minutes. These are dangerous for chins as the thread and nylon are so easily chewed, if injested, it can cause intestinal blockages resulting in the painful death of your animal. No way would I ever buy another. Hopefully SuperPets can come out with something specifically designed for chins

My boys really like their hammocks, but often chewed the nylon hangers straight through. I tried repairing, but it didn't last long. I ended up making my own indestructible version, and now we are both happy!

HORRIBLE! The first day I got it my chinchilla seemed to like it. The next morning I found it all torn up. These are made for ferrets not chinchillas

Not a product for meant for chinchillas. In my experiences all of my chinchillas have just chewed the strings. Inexpensive enough to give a try if you'd like... but I wouldn't recomend it.
