This deserves a o star because I bought it and my chinchilla never even looked at it. I guess it is junk because I paid $.50 for it a a pet store.

These "chew blox" are at best a favorite toy to push off the various shelves in their cage. I have never seen them chew it except for when it was first placed in there cage, and as anyone with chinchillas has come to know, they'll try chewing anything once. As much as they like it as a play thing, I can't help but be concerned with one of them pushing it off an upper shelf and it hitting their cage mate below. This danger renders the product useless except for a solitairy chinchilla.

At first I thought this block was a great idea. It was big and I thought that it would last alot longer than the Lava Bites that Harley loves. I put it in her home a few weeks ago and it's still in the same exact place that I put it with no bite marks at all. Well it has lasted longer than the Lava Bites on the up-side...

My chins don't care for these much, but I've discovered they make a great exfoliator for MY skin - lol. They use 'em as toys and play with 'em, but they don't really chew 'em very much - they prefer applewood twigs

I've never seen any of my chins, or my friends', do anything but push these around.
True, they last much longer than other chew toys. But that is only natural, when no one is chewing them!
At best, they are a curiosity. And they like to push them from one level to another, just as they do everything else that exists.
I guess they may chew them on the sly, when I'm not watching. In that case, maybe it's their idea of a guilty pleasure. But as far as full-scale begnawing, I can't bear witness to that.
