Memorials / RIP Niblt (may 1st)

as some of you know i had a chinchilla named niblit, well she went in for a normal teeth grinding for her teeth in the back of her mouth and they had to put her under she woke up fine but started to slowly stop breathing my vet did everything he could but my old lady just needed to rest. i miss her, i got her paws tattooed on me ^__^ she will always be with me.

Its been a few months from my last post about my chinchilla Niblit, she had her teeth trimmed a month ago, one tooth grew up in to the roof of her mouth, she wasnt chewing on her stuff and she always lets me know when its time to go to the vet, well she didnt so almost $200 later shes better but i just saw her mouth and chest is wet, its not her normal ive been drinking water like crazy, its down her chest by her hands, Im scared out of my mind, shes old, and has a big attitude so im worried. please anyone who can help me, i plan on calling the vet first thing in the morning..

ok, so ive been wanting to get a green spotted puffer fish, they are very cute and sweet, i had two before but they were sick (bad petstore they dont take care of their fish at all!) ive been looking for them again and i found some at a mom and pop fish store in my town they are very healthy but im not sure what size tank i need ive seen 10, 15 and 20 gallon tanks but i have a 5 gallon and i know thats way to small even tho they are small fish, they have a lot of waste, so anyways i thought id ask you guys on here because youve all helped me so much in past if any of you have had one before or know of a place that has very good facts and how to id really like a link and tips! lol

ok so lulu my dog was sniffing niblits cage and shes on her back legs sitting up while lulus sniffing and niblit leans back and SHOOTS PEE AT LULU! O_O    i didnt know chinchillas had magic pee shooting powers!  and niblit looks at me and does it again at lulu im like wtf! did i just see that!?!?!? so yeah this happen like 5mins ago too! i had to post about it! has this happen to anyone else?

i found a baby sparrow (they are every where were i live) and before you say oh its bad or illegal please let me explain i tried to put him back the crack in my outside roof is to small i cant fit my hand the baby in.. i moved him to another nest i saw but no other bird when there hes very small i have found a dead baby sparrow same place i found him but a little bigger with more feathers so i fear the baby i found was a runt ive looked up pictures and mines very small for a 2/3 day old i think he was kicked out so im trying to get him a little bigger and once he starts to get his feathers i plan on trying to put him back or keeping him till he can fly it takes about up to day 8 or 9 for him to get all his feathers and fly from when i have read ive done everything and more to help him hes doing great hes chirping eating moving and going to the bath room im feeding him like it says to and keeping him warm like if he was in a nest i even move him so he thinks hes pooping out of his nest like the moms do sometimes well from what i have read now if i had called the pound or ASPCA they would have put him down he need around the clock care and its sad the pounds around here aren't every good so i thought hey doesn't hurt to try right? at least i could say i tried and did everything i could id rather him die with me then being ripped about by other birds and kicked out of a nest hes doing great and eating lots well what i let him i dont want to get him sick or anything just wanted to see if anyone else has a house sparrow? i dont want to keep him forever i plain on letting him out outside as he gets his feathers to see other birds fly and stuff so hes ready when can fly ^_^

shes doing great no screaming in awhile lol shes still messing with my dog lulu ^_^ she likes to tease her and bark at her to make lulu whine
its funny lol its been really hot in my room so ive had to have a fan on 24/7 on lulu and niblit but they both are good
on my dog lulu im not sure if i have said this but shes a German shepherd/pit bull shes really really sweet!! one of the most sweetest dogs ive had
she like to lay and stare at niblit while i sleep lol when shes not cuddles up to me in my bed lol
niblits teeth are good well tooth lol she only has one in front but her back teeth are great thank goodness
just thought id post to let you know how they are

shes still sassy as ever! hehe ^_^ took her to the vet today had to cut her front tooth lol her back teeth are great ^_^
shes been messing with my new dog i got on monday ^_^ i call her Lulu shes a beautiful light brown white chest fur short hair
very smart fast learner loving pit bull part german shepard  Niblit likes running around and barking at her lol
drives Lulu crazy cause she doesnt know what Niblit is lol just thought id update if you
want to ask about niblit or anything id love to talk ^_^

General Chat / not very social chinchilla

my Niblit is very loving she always run to her cage door and greet me lets me pet her when i open her cage she talks to me sometimes when she is bored (she does it when she is just sitting there watching me do my makeup mostly) but my problem is she kinda fights when i go to hold and take her out of her cage  she will try and push my hand away but im trying to get her more social and use to different people so i let her out when my friends over and we are just sitting on my floor or bed talking id say ive had her for 3 or 4 years now her last owner wasnt home enough to be friend her much but she is social in her cage just not out when i let her run around i cant touch her she will hop away from but if i hold her on my bed she stays close to me and sits with me i dont know what to do i dont have money to buy her a friend i play with her almost everyday when she is hyper but somedays she just wants to sleep or eat or mess with my cats so i leave her alone those days, shes out of her cage now she runs to me and sits there but when i try to touch her she flips out and hops away i was hoping after a few years she would be more social with me but i dont know what to do any ideas??

General Chat / Niblit keeps turning her house

her little house in her cage and digging around her bedding, she normaly does it after i clean her cage and if i put bedding in her little house she will kick it all out and mess with it but now shes going behide her house and scratching and the same in her house in giving her her dust bath today but i dont know if she like freaking out over something or if shes just bored and playing she has toy in her cage but im just asking if anyone else has had this

i think she knew i have a ghost  >.> well i think i do lol, because the other night she screamed and i woke and she was just sitting at her door looking at me well when it was morning my poster in a frame with tape holding it it was kinda off set but i didnt care well when i got up it was fixed and even with both sides and kinda at the bottom of the frame O_O i was like GHOST!!!! haha i tease my mom about it because i guess a few years ago a lady lived here and she disappeared and some people think shes in the back yard >.< lol our friends lived like across the street and 3 houses down lol idk if any of you believe in ghosts but i just think its funny cause she also knocked on my door and walks on the roof lol

Chit Chat / chinchilla scream??

ok i wasn't sure where to post but i thought this would be good, so i didnt know a chinchilla could scream till mine (her name is niblit) screamed one night it woke me up, it doesn't help her cage is at te foot of my bed and when i woke up she was looking at me like i was crazy she will run to her door of her cage to greet me or want a treat so when i woke up and saw her at her door it freaked me out i dont know if she screamed to get a treat from me (which didnt work i told her to lose the attitude and ill give her one in the morning and went back to bed) or just to do it to freak me out but i hear her bark some times or make a weird sighing sound its weird and freaked me out

  i dont know what happened but one of her eyes is kinda puffy and there is white discharge in taking her to the vet but i have stuff for my cat because he use to have a problem with his eyes but idk if i can give it to her then and if i could/can put neosporin on it Xp please help if you have any ideas or thing idk if she poked in on timmy hay or its her new food i dont know

Health / teeth....missing?

my chinchilla was a rescue, i dont know how old she is but ive had her for about 3 years shes already had kits before i believe once,  and ive taken her to the vet to get her tooth trimmed but the other night i heard her chewing on her toys then last night i cheeked her tooth because every few months or so i have to take her in i have it timed well and i checked and her tooth is gone..... im scared ive called her vet and shes going in on Friday but im still worried as anyone else had this happen?
