News / Total Reconstruction of the Club!!!

Its about time and LONG overdue! The members area of the club is getting a full makeover. I am trashing the whole area and recreating everything from scratch. It will be much easier to use and will include some new items. I'll be removing some older items that are just too out of date. I hope to have the new site open by the end of October but it drives me crazy to be half through a project so it will probably go live well before that.

Those of you who are Chinchilla Club members please visit the member area and let me know what you want kept, trashed, or added. This is a great chance to share your ideas because if its possible I promise to add it to the new section. If you aren't a club member you should think about joining. It is going to be bigger and better than ever!!!!!!

News / New Section - Games for Prizes!!!

I'm working on a new section of the site that will offer all sorts or games and contests. These will have stop and start dates so they will be changing all of the time to keep it fresh and fun.

The basic idea is you play games for points.
You exchange points for tickets
You use tickets to enter drawings and to "buy" prizes (chinchilla stuff)

I'm still working on writing the script and figuring out the details but I wanted to know what everyone thinks so here are some questions.
You can answer them here or PM me privately.

1. Would you be interested in something like this?

2. What sort of games and contests would you like to see?

3. What sort of prizes would you like to see?

South East USA / Anyone interested in paper bedding??

I am sick off wood shavings. Carefresh bedding is just too costly. I found a place that sells recycled paper as bedding. They are in Colorodo. I called them and there are no distributors in the south east. I can become a distributor but I need to buy in serious bulk!! I can store it and have about a 6 month supply or I was hoping other people might want to make the switch too and would be interested in buying some bags once its here. Depending on how much I buy at once the price per bag would be between $8-$9. But it expands to 12 cubic feet compared to wood chips that are about 9 cubic feet. She sent me a sample bag that I am going to use today and I will let you know if it truly goes farther. I am still working out the details and trying to decide what to do but I would love to here if anyone else is interested. It would help make my decision.

South East USA / Tons of kits buy one get one 1/2 price

We are about to wean a new batch of babies and need to make some room. We currently have over 60 kits weaned and ready to go to new homes.

Colors include:
Standard,
Tan,
White Mosaic,
Beige,
Ebony White

Since chinchillas love to be in pairs we are currently offering a discount. Buy 1 kit and choose a second kit for half price. (No limit to the number of pairs) Some of our kits are already paired but they are all still young enough that you would have no trouble placing any two together right away. This doesn't have to be a same sex pair. You are welcome to apply the discount to a male/female pair that you want to keep separate until breeding age.
