I'm so sorry for your losses! :'( It's hard to lose a pet, let alone pets. ??? Only last year did I lose my Schipperke, Maizy, who had been in my family since my older sister was 3 years old (now she's almost 23). I know how it feels, and I know that Churchill is singing with the angels, and Special Ed is listening. :::grins::

You and your family are in my thoughts.

Best wishes,
Deanna

Looking back at this, I say, WOW!

Otis was born on V-day, but in 2007. So I was at his little birthday party I planned for him.

Aww, I've seen those; they are SO CUTE! And talking? That's his favorite thing to do! If I'm sleeping in my room in the morning and forget to set my alarm clock, he starts barking at the bottom of the stairs, as if he was to say, "WAKE UP!" He whines when he wants to run around in the backyard, when he wants us to throw his toys, he flings them around and throws them in the air, or walks over and puts them on top of our feet. ::) He's a little bundle of joy, and he loves Otis! Luckily, Otis loves him, back. They sniff eachother without running away or fighting, and Rugby even plays with him! They look so adorable together!! And for our Christmas card this Winter, we're going to try and get a picture of Rugby and Otis together. ;D All in all, Rugby's doing good!

It's a little late, but I have some news!!

So my sister and her fiance' live upstairs from us, and I was visiting them. When I come back downstairs, I scream because something black, grey, and furry runs across the kitchen floor. So I scream, "HEY! OTIS GOT OUT!!!" thinking he did, because the colors match up. Then I see my parents on the floor, trying to catch it, bribing it with dog toys, so at this point, my face is like...

???

Rugby is 9 months old, but we got him when he was 3 months old. He's a Teacup Yorkshire Terrier (purebred) and came from Texas. He's 4.2 pounds, and wicked cute!! Everyone loves him to death!! In fact, here's his picture. In the picture, he was standing under a big chair. That's how tiny he is!!

The happiest holiday is when you include family and chinchillas, especially with FOOD!  Haha
Reminds me of when we were at Grandma's house.
She always baked cookies, oatmeal-raisin & peanut butter bars.
We would bring pets, presents, and Grandpa.
After it (the death of     ...the new baby goldfish) ate and the thought

General Chat / Escapade!!!

I was hoping I would never have to post this, but...

OTIS MADE AN ESCAPADE!

He was gone all night, and we thought he was sleeping all of the time, but the next morning my mom went to check on him, and she saw a big black thing with a long tail run by. Yes, the lights were off. She ran up to my room and was like, "DEANNA! THERE'S A SQUIRREL IN THE HOUSE!" It turns out, it was Otis. He had chewed a hole in the back of his cage, so now he has a new metal one.

Shockingly, Otis will actually play tug-o-war with me! I get a strong piece of hay, and hold it in my hand. He puts his teeth other end, and tugs. If I am winning, he lets go and gives me an adorable little face, and I end up giving him it. He just eats it.  ::nod::

Another funny story is that Otis chewed off the protection of his cage; the things that held it together. Naughty, naughty, naughty! We had to put a frying pan on the top of the cage, so it didn't come off. Yesterday my dad used something to protect it form coming off, and when we woke up today, he had chewed that off, too.  ;D

Does anyones chins (2 or more in same cage) tend not to notice something till the other one has it?

Otis does that, but since I have one chinchilla, he usually sees something in my hands, and he sticks his nose through the bars of the cage to try to chew on it. Yep, he's teething! ;D

A funny story; once when my sister Christina had Otis on her lap, I was playing the piano. I was in the middle of the Can Can Polka, when Otis jumped onto the piano! He walked around on it and hit the keys, so, you guessed it; sound came out. That was to his liking, so he just walked around on it for, like, 10 minutes.

I was rolling on the floor laughing!!!  rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl

To tell you the truth, I had a dream about my chin last night! He was in a little tuxedo, top hat, and shoes, and there were, like, 100 of him, and they all grabbed canes and started dancing  rofl rofl rofl
