Laya Had a Kit!

I knew that Laya was pregnant by her weight gain,She had been alone since mid January. But I thought that she a bit to go. I weigh them once week. Since January 23 at 723g to April 13 she at 857g. I saw cleaning her self, I looked closer and found a tail sicking out. Any ways She had a boy at 66g. beige possible tov. I will get pix later,I wanted to let them be for bit.

Looks like he could be a brown velvet, though he looks tan in the pic. Nice color.
How sweet.

Are you sure there is no ebony in him, his belly still looks dark, not the white one would expect.
He sure is one sweet chinchilla.

Does he have a white belly?  If so, he would be a brown velvet ... possible ebony carrier.

If he shows the mask and vieling of the brown velvet, but has a brownish belly ... I would think he's a TOV Tan.

If he is solid, I would say tan.

Those ebonies can throw a question into what your kits are going to be.   ::nod::

If the kit turns out to be a tan, then you know your black velvet daddy is carrying the ebony gene ... if so I would be careful with the pairings.  And always let the person buying his kits know the daddy is an ebony carrier.

Dad is hetero beige and mom is black velvet. The ebony gene will come when you lest expect it too. His belly is brownish but lighter then his back. He has a mask and dark on his paws. I'm thinking he is TOV Tan.

Yes boy that's a little tan.
With the paw strips and the touch of mask on his face looks like a tov.
Very nice, and yes the sweetest little face.
Couldn't ya just eat'em!!!! ;)
