Chinchillas saved themselves, their building and My Husband!

Yesterday my husband, Jim, was working in his workshop welding a piece of metal to fix his recliner. Jim's workshop and my chinchilla room are in the same building.  After he finished his welding he went into the other part of the building which is a garage.  He heard the chinchillas making loud noises like he had never heard them make before....when he came into the shop there were flames as high as his head on the chair near where he had been welding.  He grabbed the chair and threw it outside....turned on the exhaust fans and opened the windows. 
My chinchillas saved "their home"!!  I told Jim that he better give them extra treats for saving the workshop, their homes and especially him!

CHINCHILLAS RULE!!   ::nod::

Oh my!  What a close call!  Tell him those chins deserve extra scritches and treats!  I'm glad that everyone and everything is okay!

goodness how lucky you all were. Really glad to hear your husband and chinnies where all OK. The mind shrinks at the thought of what could have happened. ohhhh best not thinking about it.
Instead I will raise a cheer and say "Bless those chinnies for raising the alarm!"
