I'm pregnant, is it safe to clean the chinchilla cage?

My husband and I just found out that I am pregnant! We weren't sure if it was safe for me to clean the chinchilla cage or not.

I think that chinchillas are safer than dogs and cats and maybe even birds as far as zoonotic diseases go. Personally if I had a wife who was pregnant I'd want her to avoid that because there is always a potential of something harmful being there.
