Is it ok that the kit steals mom treats?

I have been giving Pooka her few bits of chopped apple a long with a half of shredded wheat, and Pookie as been coming up from under her and starts eating from the bottom and helping mom eat the wheat. Then she tries to take whats left and eat it. Should I keep pookie away from Pooka while she eats her treat? So far it been only the shredded wheat, I have been feeding Pooka the apple bits by hand, so Pookie hasn't gotten any of the apples. When I saw her do that I reached in and took the bit of shredded wheat away from Pookie.
