Rose Hips
19

Rose Hips are a wonderful treat for your chinchilla. As their name implies, they come from the rose plant -- they’re what remains after the petals fall off. Rose hips have been used as a source of Nutrition for centuries. They are a highly recognized source of vitamin C, and they also contain vitamins E and K, and the B vitamins riboflavin and folate.

My chins love their rosehips and best of all it's healthy for them unlike dried fruits and nuts.

I use to give 1-2 raisins a day but i dont anymore she loves her raisins most of all but i feel these are not as bad and also since they have vitamin c in them. She gets about two a week she snatches it from my hand and runs she likes them but leaves the seeds behind im not sure if they eat the seeds or not but she doesnt seem to like them because it gets stuck in her teeth and she starts running around the cage going nuts wiping her mouth trying to get the seeds out

My chins just love rose hips, and I love them too. If I forget to change food while they're out of their cage for playtime, I just give them each a rose hip, and I'm free to move about the cage and change food without having three chins trying to sneak past my hands.
