Not only does grooming help prevent fur balls and make your chin more comfortable, but it also helps your chin to look his or her best. Learning how to properly groom a chinchilla isn't a skill you can get from reading a book. You need to be shown how to do it from someone who knows what they are doing.
This Grooming Your Chinchilla video features chinchilla experts Gary and Margot Neubauer who show you how to do both a rough combing and a fine show combing. A pet chinchilla needs a good rough combing to remove dead fur. And, if you ever want to show a chin, show combing is a must.
The viedo runs about 30 minutes and is loaded with expert grooming tips.

I purchased this video with a grooming comb and was very glad I had the video before I tried using the comb on our two (very squirmy) chinchillas! The video is very thorough and informative, and the first chinchilla they groom has never been combed before so you get an idea of what it will really be like when you try it. I highly recommend this video; watch it for entertainment as well as invaluable grooming tips. Don't try to comb your chinchilla without it!

I was curious about this tape, not
having read too much about chin
grooming for the pet owner, but this
tape is great! They show two entire
grooming sessions from preparation
to completion, how it's done, the
problems that can happen (chins not
sitting still...) etc. Both of the
groomers are total pros and are very
nice with their chins. They show all
the tools and give everything you
need to know. A very worthwhile tape
for chin parents everywhere!

This is a wonderful video. Its easy to follow for a brand new chinchilla owner, but has lots of show tips for the breeder as well. I recommend this video for everyone!!
