Medications


Finding good vets who know their way around chins is a definent plus. If you feel the need to double check medications however, here is a list of medications and dosages that are safe for chinchillas. It got this out of the chinchilla section of the "Exotic Companion Medicine Handbook." Please do NOT try to dose out your own chinchillas medications. If a medication is not on this list, call up your vet and ask for verification that it is safe for the chins.
