A Chinchilla is a special pet

Nowadays, you have so much choice when it comes to choosing a pet. Pets enchance our lives with their love, the interest they give you, the knowledge in learning how to best care for a pet etc.. I feel that even if you are not an amazing animal lover, it is still important and special to have a pet to love, care for and nurture. Especially, if taking on a baby or young animal and being able to watch it grow and develop and be able to train the animal in your own special way. However, no matter what animal we choose as a pet, it requires, time, commitment and responsibility, as obviously that animal depends entirely on you, for its life and the quality of its life. That obviously includes, stimulation, variety of food, interest and exercise amongst other things. A Chinchilla, can especially enhance your life, fun to watch, great to hold or give a tickle behind the ear, but on the other hand not too demanding or expensive to keep. Also, a benefit is the longevity of your pet, especially for a rodent, meaning that a Chinchilla can become a good friend, a part of the family for very many years. Every Chinchilla has their very own special little characteristics and behaviour. Making each one as individual as we are. Not just what colour or gender they are, they all have their own special little personalities. In my opinion my life has become enriched for having Chinchillas in it. I have learnt so many new things by having them around and sure, I have experienced some sad times, but on the whole the good experiences have far outweighed the bad ones. Being able to see those cute little faces staring out at me, when I shake the treat jar, spending time watching them busy playing with a new toy or just seeing them cuddling up next to each other sleeping, they are all wonderful experiences, that make having a Chinchilla around so worthwhile. So never forget, your Chinchilla is indeed a special pet and remember you are the one who can make that relationship special, by giving your Chinchilla a great life and enjoying some fun pet and owner relationship times together. Most of all enjoy having a Chinchilla in your life and the experience of owning and caring for such a special little rodent!
