A Day in the Life of Chuckie Chinchilla

Wow, I cant believe its 7:00 in the morining and Mommy hasn't come to play
with me yet. Usually she is up around 6:00.........I am glad when she is up
that early, that way, when she gets up, she takes me out and lets me run
around the bathroom while she gets ready to go to....whats that place
again??? Oh yeah, I think its called school. She says someday she will take
me and I will have fun.
There she is!! But now its after 10:00 and I am ready to go to sleep. Oh
well, I will see her later because she said today I get to take a bath. I
just hope she changes the dust, I dont like the smell of that other
chinchilla, Booger. I don't like him, he is not my friend. Mommy says he is
her baby. I used to be her baby, now I am a big boy. I liked being the baby.
I just woke up from my sleep, and Mommy has the dust bath waiting for me. I
like it a lot, and I like to eat raisins and peanuts while I am sitting in
it. Its very nice. It makes me very pretty and clean.
Then I get to run every day in that big place called the hallway. Thats fun
too. Mommy gets mad sometimes because I have to go to the bathroom, and I
leave her little surprises on the floor. Oh well, they dont make restrooms
for chinchillas.
When its night time, I like to sit on my back feet and put my front paws on
the bars of my cage and look at everyone. Sometimes Booger sits on the shelf
in his cage too, and his tail hangs out of the bars. I like to try and eat
it, because I dont like him.
Oh no, Mommy is going to bed!!! I dont like that, because at night its just
me and Booger all alone. I feel better though, because Mommy always gives me
a good night belly and ear scratch, and a kiss. :)
