Sneezing was my best friend which is why I was forced to not have any
small pets. The dog was outdoors along with the cat and I had just parted
with my guinea pigs, Annie and Andrew! I was so sad. I wanted a little pet
companion so bad! I had tried everything and the only thing that was
successful was a lizard that nearly bit off half of my thumb so we had to get
rid of him too! I did not know what to do until one day I was web surfing
with my sister and we came upon this funny looking squirrelly thing that
looked like it had been caught in a DNA jumble yet it was the cutest thing
I had ever seen! The first time I saw it I wanted one! But my first thought
was, "Joanna don't think about it. Chances are 9 to 900 it has dander!!",
well I was wrong and with plenty of research and lots of loan
coaxing I got one! My Chinchilla Haddie was my new best friend. The weak
link to my allergies and with no dander I was in luck! I got so attached
to Haddness (Her nickname) I had to get another one, Muffin!! But muffin
beat Haddie up hogging all the food, biting her, chewing up her fur, laying
on her to sleep! I tried everything and the only good solution I found was
to separate them in the cage. This wasn't fair to Haddie, then I found a
new cage. Then Muffin bit me and my sister, not a little Chinny nibble
either, a blood buster! So we had to part with her! I miss her so but I
still have my miracle child! So all of you people who have sneezing as your
best friend! You have another best friend waiting for you right around the
corner! A very chinny chinchilla pal! Hope this story helps an allergy
magnet like myself!
