pumpkin seeds....

So I know that Chinchillas can have pumpkin seeds but Im wondering this...
I jsut carved my pumpkin and wanna save the seeds for he Chinchillas....
Do I need to roast them or no?
I need help!

 ::silly::  If you leave them "fresh" they will quickly spoil.  If you have a dehydrator, I would use that.  If not, you could spread them out on a cookie sheet and set the oven for the lowest temperature for several hours and dehydrate them that way.  OR you could rinse thoroughly, dry, then place them single layered between paper towels and place them in an area that has a good air flow, such as a cooling rack for cakes or cookies.   :)  The last of the methods mentioned is also the way I dry seeds for planting the following year.   :::grins::
