LOL. They do glide like a flying squirrel. :) I actually use a large tent to play with them in. They love climbing to the top and gliding down. They cannot be potty trained, but the usually go with in the first 10 minutes of waking up, so I just let them wake up, do their business and then we go play. When a sugar glider does go on you though, it is a sign of affection from them, they are "claiming you" as their own. :-[ I have been peed on before, but it isn't much, and I keep baby wipes with me in case of accidents. rofl

I actually just got another female sugar glider on Saturday. She needed a pet home and some cage mates and she took right to my girls. I don't have pics up of the new addition (Laila), but here's a pic of Lily and Lola.  :) I really need to upload the pictures from my camera.

The first picture in my post is Lola (she is a gray)
The next 2 are of Lily (she is a black beauty) The flash washes her out, but she is gray with extra dark thick markings. When the girls are side by side, she is soooo much darker.

My new girl Laila is a cinnamon. She is more of a light reddish brown color.

Sometimes it's hard to get out of chin mode and go into gliders.

In gliders red tint is actually a good thing. LOL That threw me off at first, because in chins we want blue red tinting is def not a desirable trait.  ::nod::  And then there is the Wood/Plastic. It was so hard for me to get out of the "NO Plastic mindset with my gliders, Wood is not great for gliders, they don't have insisors that grow constantly so they don't need to chew. Also gliders will urinate on the wood and cause it to get smelly really fast. I use lots of bird toys, especially the ones made with the bulletproof plastic. A gliders favorite toy is barrel or monkeys and drinking straws. Mine also like to pounce feathers.

Gliders a facinating. I love having them around, but they are a lot more work that chins. They demand a lot more of my attention than my chins do. My chins love me, but if I don't have food, or treats, they will run off and do their own thing. The gliders are snugglers. :) If they get startled while playing out of the cage, they will run straight to be for protection, Lola will zip right down my blouse!  :o  :blush2: LOL They are "bra babies".

There are a lot of really great glider forums out there if your interested in learning about gliders.
Glider Central  www.sugarglider.net
Gliders Anonymous  www.glidersanonymous.com
Worldwide Sugar Glider Network  www.worldwidesugarglidernetwork.com

I love talking about all my critters, so if anyone wants to chat about gliders, feel free to PM me. I am relatively new to the world of gliders but I have done nothing but read about them for months and have owned mine since May. :)
