my lil mumbles has passed..
« on: September 21, 2007, 10:13:39 AM »

On Tuesday my 3 year old Chin passed away. :( He was acting strange, and I took him to the vet he had some behavioral problems that were not able to be helped. I woke up tuesday and saw him laying there with those lil eyes closed and not breathing. I knew he had passed. He was a rescue from another chin owner, and he wasn't doing to well. but At least all of his Hair was back!

:(

I am so sorry for your loss.  Just remember the good times you had together and that you took good care of him.     :'(

It's always sad when we loose one.    :::(((

That is one thing that most do not realize ... often, with chinchillas, as with humans, if there is something bad wrong ... towards the end, their personality will change and they become hateful, mean or their personalities will reverse to what they normally are.  Sometimes the change is slight, but often it will be drastic.

Did you get an autopsy to find out what killed him?

Did he have any cagemates?

I did not do an Autoposy. He did not have any cage mates. I rescued you him from another owner who had chinchillas, but mumbles just didn't get along well there. When I got him he had no hair almost.
