Yes he's got a cage we just let him out for a few hours every night that's why I thought he was getting better because the first 3 days he had loads of energy like av never seen before then past 2 times we've let him out he is just sleeping he's loves sleeping and sitting Under the coffee table and we only let him out when we out there so I no he hasn't eaten anything I got him from a pet shop and when I noticed he was sick I rang them and said I want to no his bread er so I can get in touch Because  he has came to me sick then it turns out he was imported from Europe to a wholesalers then to the pet were I went and got him so he has been though a lot I can't even imagine the conditions and it's no wonder he is sick! He is still getting used to being handled also like he will let me pet him but no one else not even my partner but he doesn't like being picked up so to keep the trust between us I have been putting his medicine on a little bit of bread or a little bit of a biscuit when I say little I mean little just to get him to eat it could this be affecting the affect of the antibiotics I am defiantly going to take him to the vets also av read that they have allergies so can you get antihistamines for chinchillas?

I got me chin 2 weeks ago he only about 3-4 months old and I noticed in the first week he was sneezing a lot then I noticed his breathing became heavy and harder and he started getting little cuts on his nose from wiping so I tuck him the vets and he had a upper respiratory tract infection and he has been on antibiotics now for 5 days and at first I noticed he had a bit more energy but the past 2 nights all he has done is sleep he is still eating and drinking but all he dose is sleep and his breathing is till quick fast and heavy then tonight when I went to get him from under the coffee table were he loves to sleep he couldn't open one of his eyes so i tuck a closer look and when i picked him up he op end it there was loads of white goo I thought the antibiotics would of made him better the only this that has changed is he doesn't sneeze as much but I am still very worried
