New Births / Squishy Fluffy Goodness!!
« on: October 25, 2006, 11:13:46 PM »
So this morning I woke up and had recalled dreaming that two of my girls had given birth. One had given birth to 3 babies (I don't recall the colors in my dream though) and the other had given birth to 2, but for some reason we lost them. I was in a bit of a rush so I only had time to do a quick peek into the chin room before I had to rush off, so I either missed these or they were born after I left/before I got back...about a 3 hour span.

We haven't had a mosaic female born for some time, so we'll be holding these girls for a while! Of course my other girl didn't have any today...

Parents are Indago [standard] (Country Hearth Chinchilla) x Unnamed [mosaic] (Miller Chinchilla)  --She was 1 day early on having these little beauties! Her official due date was the 26th.

So I realized I joined and just kind of jumped in feet first. I was a member previously but I'm not sure what happened to my account  ::shrug:: Must have gotten deleted with the upgrades I assume.

A little about me. I'm 24 years old and I live in East/Central Minnesota with my Husband. We are owned by a herd of 30 (+/-) Chinchillas, 4 cats and 2 birds. We've been "into" chins for 3 1/2 years and breeding for about 2 1/2 of those. About our herd, we focus mainly on whites, though we have a couple others in the mix just for variety. We are active members of the MCBA Midwest Chapter (look forward to the show in a couple weeks)

Look forward to browsing aroudn here! I tend to be a bit of a lurker, but I do read, it's great to see new and differing opinions. Or just to learn something new that may have not been known before.
