Health / Healthy treats for Chins?

Hi guys!!

Just wanted to find out what other healthy treats there are that are safe to give chins (in tiny chin-size portions of course!!!),  I know raisins (I cut them into 6! lol) is there anything else around the house that will be okay to give him? I read apple somewhere?  But with or without skin?

Other Pets / My Kitties - Scrappy

Scrappy is one of Marmite's 3 daughters.  I literally watched her being born.  She was the smallest kitten of the litter and has followed me around since she was able to walk.  She is a very special girl and very sensitive, she loves me and me only, though she will sleep on my BF's feet at night.  She is a Dilute Tortoiseshell domestic long hair, we have no idea who her dad is.  But there was a beautiful black and white longhaired gent who was hanging around at the time of her conception...we assume he was her father.

Hello everyone!

Thought I would introduce you to Felix's "Sisters"...  Firstly we have Marmite, tortoiseshell domestic long hair.  Mities is the SWEETEST and most affectionate cat ever and loves absolutely everyone and everything.  She is about 4 years old now.  She is fixed now (she was my bf's and he didn't have her fixed) but before she was fixed, she had 3 gorgeous kittens.

HI Everyone!!

This is the other love of my life...Velvet...she is an 8yo Thoroughbred mare and is currently almost 7 months pregnant with her first foal (and mine!).  I'm soooooo excited!!!  She is due on Halloween!    The daddy is a VERY nice imported Holsteiner showjumper.  She is MUCH prettier than she looks in these pics! lol  Its winter now and she is hairy.

Here she is at 6.5 months pregnant!

At what age can you see if a kit is show quality?  I have a little 3month old boy and I know he has good parents...But I have no idea about him..we don't have chin shows here to my knowledge...

Good evening!!!

I am a brand spanking new member and a brand spanking new chinnie mom!!!   

I first saw a chinchilla in a petshop 4 years ago.  Never seen one since there but they made a huge impression on me!  What's not to love? 

Anyway...they kind of slipped my mind until recently when I started having a desire to own an exotic mammal...I'm not a monkey fan so they were out for sure and then I remembered the adorable little creature I saw in a petshop so many years ago.  So, being the animal nut I am, I set about doing as much research as I humanly could!  I don't believe in getting a new animal before knowing EXACTLY what their dietry, attention and care requirements are.  So I got the cage, special chinchilla food and hay (not a problem as I own a horse as well!), Chin safe toys, chin safe sawdust etc.

And then!  I found Felix!!!! 

His mommy is a Brown Velvet and his Daddy is an ebony (a very nice one too!).  I believe Felix to be a Tan as he doesn't have a white belly and I think he might be a Velvet because he has a mask (its getting darker and darker) on his face.

Here he is!!!  We totally ADORE him!!!
