Health / My boy died last nigjt, worried about his companion

My 9 year old chin Rambo died last night. We took him to the vet yesterday because he was lethargic and wasn't eating. We started antibiotics and critical care but he passed during the night. Our other chin has been with him since day one for all of their lives and I'm really worried about the toll this will take on him.   Any tips on how I can help him through this loss?

I have the Ferret Nation that I got a while ago.  I don't like it at all.  We are looking at the Martin's Highrise or Townhouse.  I think the highrise measurements are 18X30X48 and the townhouse is 30X36X60.  18" seems pretty narrow to me for 2 chins?  Also, I don't know what kind of shelving comes with it but I was wondering if they should all be removed and replaced with wood shelves, and if so how many?  Any suggestions would be appreciated  : )
