Hi Jo Ann,

She just said he had really bad pneumonia, and his lungs were just getting worse and worse. She said that sometimes they can be born with problems with their lungs. She said there was nothing else that could be done to help him and it would be best to put him to sleep 
I'm just glad that he isn't suffering anymore and that my other 3 babies are ok.

Well Bailey got sick again, a few days after he finished his meds, I took him to the vet and she said he is just getting worse and he had lost a lot of weight, she said she couldnt see him getting any better and thinks he may have been born with the illness. He was only 7 months old and she said he hadnt got enough energy anymore to fight it off, and there isnt anything else i can do to help him. She said it would be in his best interest 2 have him put to sleep. So I mad the hardest decision to put him asleep  I miss him so much, its not the same without him, but at least he's at peace now and not suffering anymore. Rip Bailey I love you so much

Thank god Bailey is a lot better now, it seems like he has been sick forever He did get better but then had a relapse, last day of meds tomorrow and hopefully he will recover properly this time, he is back to his normal self eating drinking and running around, im so glad he's ok

He is 6 months old, he is getting better He has a check up on Saturday and he has begun eating and drinking again. The one that died had to be put to sleep he had an epileptic seizure, the vet said he was so young and was in a lot of pain and there wasn't really anything they could do for him, that was the worst moment of my life seeing him like that, i felt so guilty at first but now i now i did the right thing at least he isn't suffering anymore. I only had him 3 days but i loved him so much and i miss him terribly

Hi Jo Ann, he has pneumonia, i had him back at the vet on friday he has lost a lot of weight, he is on baytril and another one for his lungs, the vet told me to feed him some baby food with his med and give him baby food 3-4 times a day for two days to try to get his appetite back. He seems a lot better now thank god, he is drinking and eating on his own now so i don't have to hand feed him anymore, and he doesn't seem to be sneezing and coughing as much and is a lot more active. He is on the meds until monday and has a check up in the vet on saturday so hopefully all goes well and he is on the road to recovery

My chinchilla has been sick for over a week now he was on an antibiotic and i had him back at the vet yesterday and he was put on another antibiotic. He wont eat or drink now, is there anything i can feed him other than his regular food?

Hi all, well my name is Laura and I'm 24, i adore all kinds of animals and couldn't imagine not having any ha, at the moment I have 3 dogs (Rocky, Buffy & Mini) 1 parrot (Cleo) 1 chipmunk (Squeak) and 4 chinchillas (Bandit, Gizmo, Furby & Bailey). I would have had 5 chins only one died about 2 months ago his name was Smokey, Bailey is sick at the moment, he isn't as bad now and is on the road to recovery thank god Well i don't really know what else to say at the moment so ill leave it there for now
