Title: Shedding fur
Post by: Herbert on July 03, 2015, 11:38:23 AM
Is it normal for chins to shed some of their fur moving from winter to summer, kind of like a cat or dog?  I have noticed that lately it kind of looks like that with fur around certain parts of their cage.

Yes that is perfectly normal. As long as there are no bald spots you're probably just fine.

Chins prime (shed) every 3-4 months, with major primes in the early winter and early summer. As long at there isnt any bald spots its fine. You can gently use a lint roller to get off loose hair or a flea comb. most chins dont like grooming and its not needed unless you can feel mats starting.
