I am redesigning the chinchilla club logo as the first step in renovating the graphics on the website. I am open to suggestions and design in just about any style.
If you don't like any of the designs please comment on how to make it better.
As an artist I thrive on criticism so please do not be shy.
Your input and vote in the poll above is appreciated. Final designs will vary in appearance.

I'm not sure why you didn't get the notice. It was announced about three weeks ago and e-mailed the members on the list. The website has changed hands and I am in the process of renovating it now. Thanks for the votes.

2 is awesome. I really like 1 too if they could have more of a rounded back...sort of this shape

Just out of curiosity...is there going to be a mobile version of the forum in the future? Not that it matters considering the phones these days can handle desktop versions of sites just fine.

I suppose we could switch to a different system if there is a better one that is also free to use. So far Simple Machines has served us well and we have had very little trouble with it. I'll look into it though but on a preliminary search I think this is the best solution so far.

Yeah it's completely understandable...i was just asking out of curiosity. Who knows what percentage of people use their mobiles to view this site. It may not even be worth it

LOL! I do all the time from my smartphone. I find the performance to not be very good for composing but it's great for reading and basic administration. Being an artist I am partial to desktop PCs and large laptops so any advice is good.

Yeah, I was going to say that at times this site can give me problems when posting from my phone...specifically, it may take a good few taps of the "post" button before it works correctly.
There are a couple other boards that I visit that use mobile formats and it is easier. I'm not sure how much of a pain it is to actually implement though.
Chinchillaworld and chinformative are the other 2 forums i use...check them out sometime on your mobile if you want to see what i mean

Okay thanks for the info. I just checked it out. It does cost a bit to move to the same technology they are using. I will continue to do the research on this. It may be worth it in the long run.
