I'm thinking about getting a chinchilla in the future, but I'm not sure what would be a suitable cage that isn't over 200.
I saw these cages on amazon and another store I was looking at. I'd take out all plastic in it the and put wood shelves/floors

this is a cat cage but is it coated in something that is bad for the chin ?http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000I1M76Q/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
Are they big enough? :-\

They all look like be big enough for 1 Chinchilla. I don't know about the cat one with coating as you say.

The cat cage says it has plastic trays which might not be a good idea. The other cages look pretty good but you'll want to remove those wire ramps. Wire ramps can snag a foot and cause fractures. Wire shelves can do the same and have cause death by hanging chins by their fractured feet off the edge.
The Feisty Ferret cage is kind of popular to use as a chin cage as long as you can find a metal pan for it. Otherwise it will get chewed. As far as coatings are concerned I don't know.

great cage for one chinchilla, but does need to be chinproofed [take out plastic]

looks like a nice chage but needs to be chinproofed [metal ledges and ladders are best if not used]

cant tell what the ledges are made out, might need to be chinproofed

would also need to take out the ladder and change over the metal ledges [some people do use metal ledges, but i have heard they can catch bumblefoot from them, as for the ladders, they really shouldnt have those because they can get their legs caught in them and break them.
at least one of them i think looked like they had small doors. just an fyi, you might want to go with something that has bigger doorways so its easier to get in and out of the cage to clean/ take the chin out..etc.... just my opinion.... i know when i had the ferrets they had small doorways and what a nightmare it was cleaning the cage out every week cuz i could hardly fit thru..lol
some other good cages people like are:
ferret nations and quality cages.
