Title: Can you feed orchard grass

Can you feed orchard grass or doe's it have to be Timothy hay?  ::think:: I was just wondering.

I feed all of my chins unlimited timothy hay every day.  I have one pair that came to me already eating orchard grass.  SO I have kept the tradition going and they still get a small handful of their orchard grass every night.  But they also get unlimited timothy hay.
Some of the time I give pinchfuls of the orchard grass to my other chins for a treat, they like a little variation now & then!
If it were me I would not substitute their timothy hay for orchard grass though.

No I wouldn't. Some one asked me, and I didn't have a answer for them. Thanks for the info. Good to know.  ::nod::

We mix timothy and orchard grass together, they love it.

Same here.  I mix Timothy Hay with a small handful of Orchard Grass.  It's still mostly Timothy Hay though.   ;)

My chinchilla likes it. I give him timothy, alfalfa and orchard grass.  :) :)
