Hello, my fiance and I are planning on getting a second chinchilla. We would like to get a white one but have no idea where to look for them. We live in Minnesota. Anyone know where we would start looking? Local pet stores seem to only carry the standard grey ones. Any info would be much appreciated! :)

Try the Breeders Directory at: http://www.chinchillaclub.com/breeder/index.html :)

I did, that doesnt help me. The minnesota link doesnt go anywhere and there is not a website either.

that's too bad. We there any in surrounding states that were close enough to drive?

::silly::You might want to try chinchillas.com ... They have breeders that will ship a chin and are very reputable.
Another place you may want to inquire is at the MCBA and Empress web sites, they may know of a breeder near you.

If you're up for a drive, there's a great shelter in the next state (Wisconsin), they have MANY chins available at this time for adoption. They are assorted colors, and have pics posted of the available chins there. I don't know how long a drive that would be for you, but their in Pewaukee right off I-94 west going towards Madison.

I have both a male and female white available. The male has been a breeder for some time, but has a great personality. The female is one of his daughters. What sex are you looking to add? I'm located in the Duluth area in MN, but will be going to the Midwest show in IA the weekend of the 21st and could set up to meet somwhere along the way. Feel free to contact me. info@chinchillarave.com
Both can be seen on our sales page
