both me and my wife work during the days and our chin seemed to be getting lonely so weve been giving him a stuffed animal and i was just wondering if its safe for him he doesnt chew it or anything hey plays with it and protects it as a friend is this ok to do?

Breeding 101 / looking to breed my chin

my chin is a white mosaic 1 year old male chin i would like to find a breeder that is willing to breed him i just want to keep 1 male from the litter the breeder can keep the rest. hes just lonely and hyper and horny he just turned 1 and would like to get him some female lovin

he does scratch sometimes when hes cleaning himself its been like that for a week or so now. we clean his cages twice a week tuesday and friday and he gets a bath on those days. we use carefresh bedding. he stays in the bath for about 5 min and eats oxbow pellets and vitakraft timothy hay

this is davin he is my chinn he is about 9 month and i have recently noticed this what looks like ry skin on the back of his ears just wondering if it is anything to be worried about

General Chat / humping problem?

my chinchilla davin seems to be having a problem humping my wifes right hand its only the one hand he grabs on for dear life and when she pulls him off he just starts to go to town on his nono zone so we put him back in his cage and he starts to run around all spastic he never used to do this and now its making my wife upset because she cand hold him because of this please help i have no idea what to do to get him to stop doing this ::shrug::

thank you very much i feel alot better knowing that it looks ok he seems to be acting normal hes been running and jumping around his cage like normal i belive he is a white mosaic the place i got him from was not sure he is only about 9 months old he was about 3 months when i got him he was more white when i first brought him home hes got more rgay in him now but still has alot of white the first 2 pics are from when we first got him

hi my chinchilla davin ran under my bed this morning and would come out and i had to go to work i couldnt reach him and i didnt have time to wait for him to come out i could only get a hold of his tail at the base i got him out i didnt pull that hard and he seems fine but i just took him out of his cage and as i was holding him i thought the base of his ale feels different it kinda feels like theres a kink in it now right at the base im worried that it may have hurt him?

hi everyone we are new chinchilla owners are boys name is davinport just davin for short he is about 4months old and we got home today there was blood in his cage on the walls and in his hide we looked at him very closely but cant find any sign of a injury, no blood in his fur nothing and he is running around and acting normal where very concerned please help
