I though I'd start a new thread for the gals celebrating new baby's.
They grow up so fast, and change so much in that first year it's amazing.
Things have changed so much from when I was having kids.
We would start feeding Pablum/cereals at 6 weeks, now they wait 6 months.
Baby's seem so much bigger, grow faster, and are ahead in development.
Is it because we don't coddle them as much.
Lets talk Baby's and share pics.
Jo Ann get Amanda to post a new pic of Jillian, and Jacqui lets see some of your darling little Noah.
Here's Colby at 11 weeks.
He coos and caas all the time now. Loves the sound of his own voice. Hold his little hands, let him stand on your lap, and he'll walk right up your chest.
He bats at his hanging toys, and loves his mobile.
This is a pic of him after a feeding, we call it the drunk on boobie look.

He is adorable! I love the little videos.
You are right about growing up fast.....the cooing sounds babies make are precious!

::silly::I love the one where he is sleeping and moves the blanket in such a way that he tickles his lips with the tag of the blanket and must think it's a bottle. :) That is so cute!
I'll see if Amanda will post some pictures of Jillian ... in the meantime ... I'll post two of my favorites ... Amanda said I could show her off. :::grins::

Isn't she precious, just look at that smile, and those eyes. So dreamy, she'll keep her Dad busy with the suiters in years to come. ::nod::
Colby is 11 weeks now,born on Feb 15, 2007. Jillian was born on the 28th. Their pretty close eh!
They seem to be doing much of the same things, though I believe Jillian sleeps more.
Colby fights sleep to the max, like he could miss something, or heaven for bid he'd wake and not see his Mom.
He tries so hard to roll over and gets very frustrated because he can't.
He knows what his tongue is and how to stick it out.
They learn so fast. ::nod::
It's just way to much fun being a Granny.

Thanks JOAnn for posting those pics of Jillian...I will try to add a few more pictures that were taken in the past 2 weeks :)
Jillian is doing great...like Debbie said, she is doing pretty much the exact same things that Colby is doing. She loves to play with her tongue and stick it out at us, she "talks" all the time and just like Colby, she is so close to rolling over that all she needs to do is just push a bit more and she has it, but gets frustrated when she doesn't do it right away and then screams (just like me, no patience). Everyone keeps telling us that she screams louder than any other baby they have ever heard, even their own. Should I mention that when I was a baby, the doctor actually wrote L O U D on my file...guess another thing JIllian and I have in common. Jillian will be 10wks this wednesday. At her 2 month appt, she weighed in at 12lbs 3oz and had grown 2.5 inches since birth.
Lets see if I can post pics...never done it before on this site ;)

Yes Jillian has a beautiful smile, and I just love her eyes. Ya know I can see more of you in her now.
There's one of you and her on your shopping trip you can really see her Mom in her.
Colby looks like his Dad with his eyes open and like his Mom when he's sleeping, funny eh!
Can you believe Noah is a month old, and those little sneakers are priceless.
Likes his snuggly does he, it's the only way Laura gets anything done.
I wish sometimes Colby would take a pacifier. I'm sure we've bought 8-10 and he wants no part of them.
Next pix we'll get to see Noah's darling little face eh! ;)
They sure seem so brighter to me these days, I guess we don't coddle and bundle them up like we used to.

Just too cute for words they are.
Oh Colby started singing this week, he hums along with his Mom and sings himself to sleep.
He loves making a noise and scrap his finger nails on the back of the couch, or give him a full chip bag to play with, he loves it.
It's such a joy to watch the learn new things. ::kiss99::

Noah just had a dr. appt for a rash on his face :( It'll go away but it looks ugly to me. But anyway, he was up to 10lbs! At just six weeks old! I couldn't believe it, thats a four lb. gain since birth. Here is two pictures from today of him in his new seat. And guess what, thats a BABY chinchilla with him! :) 3 months old the kit is. I also got his FIRST REAL SMILE at me today on camera. I'll post that picture too :)

As Debbie said, Jillian is rolling over both ways and she is talking up a storm! (more like babbling :)
She likes playing in her new baby pool and next week is her 4 month check up so we will see how much she has gained.
Noah is a cutie pie! And don't you just love the bumbo chairs, they are great!
Debbie, any sign that Colby wants to start rolling over yet? I can't believe how big he is...I am betting Jillian is going to be atleast 14lbs at her next checkup.
Will attach new pics soon, Jillian is screaming for a diaper change :)

Debbie of course you may ask! We had a son born August of 2005, and he passed away in December 2005 from SIDS or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. I'm sure you've heard of it before though :) So the wires go to a belt around Noah's chest and it monitors his heart rate and breathing, and if something were to happen that he would stop breathing it makes this PIERCING alarm that blows your eardrums ;) Its more just precautionary than anything. Colby is just adorable. I love the little hat in your thumbnail picture! I can just picture him playing with a chip bag as well, hey whatever they like! The things you would never expect to be entertaining suddenly are :2funny:

Jacqui, I agree with Abby, Zachary was beautiful. I am sorry for your loss and I can't even begin to imagine what your family went through. I am glad that you have the monitors for Noah...putting your mind at ease.

I know how hard that must have been for your whole family.
I did some research when Laura got pregnant, I tell you I worried more over her and her baby than I ever did when I was having them myself.
It's awesome they can now keep on eye out for such problems, and it won't be long when the fear is over.
Well Amanda Colby rolled from his belly to his back once and Laura missed it.
She was some peed off ;D, he just lid there giggling.
All Colby wants to do is jump, on his feet and jumping.
Oh she didn't wait the 6 months to feed him either, at over 16 pounds, ::kiss99::and reaching for food from her she started him on cereal last week, and a couple of veggies now this week. He loves squash.
He's taking better naps now too.
It's just way too much fun.

Laura's hoping Colby doesn't get any until she is finished breast feeding. :D
I can't believe he's almost 6 months old.He'll get weighed again soon, by the 23 rd if not sooner, but he's well over 20 pounds. He still wants to be on his feet more than anything, and his little legs never stop. He's steady jumping, and will even shoot to get down as if he could just walk away. ;D
So how's Noah Jacqui?
Did his rash clear up?
Colby had a bad face rash at about 1-2 months. Like little heat blisters, but they've stopped coming out now.

Jillian has her two bottom front teeth :) She is doing great but I just need to be careful of my fingers now...she bites on them HARD!!!!
She is sitting by herself and is going through a mommy phase now....at night when Darren takes her, she screams until I come back and get her. Its a nice feeling to be wanted but hard b/c I do need to get other things done. She will be 24 weeks old next week so we are finally starting rice cereal...can't wait to see how she does. Oh, she also has learned to scream...not the screaming like she wants me or something is wrong, just bursts and really loud! She picked that up from a girl at the pool...got to love the imitation stage.

OMG Amanda she is changing, and getting so big. I love that picture, she looks so sweet.
Well Colby is talking, I can't get over it.
We've been thinking for that last couple of weeks he's been trying to say " Nan" instead if "Na Na" meaning a boobie feeding.
He has also been going 'MMMMMMMM" when eating, so I started trying him to go to Mom from mmmmmm
On the 9th just a week before he'll be 6 months and he has Mom and Nan down pat.
He knows Mom feeds him, but if he wants to be rocked that's up to his Nan. ::kiss99::

AS Jo Ann has posted an update on Jillian I thought it woulkd be nice to post one for Colby in hope Jacqui will post an update on Noah.
I have to tell ya I was a little worried when we didn't hear from her in a while. :blush2:
Any way Colby is 9 months old now and is just over 23 pounds.
She vocabulary went from Yum,Mom, Nan, Pop, Dad, hot, cat, car, duck and few more I can't recollect right now. Seems there's a new word every few days.
He took his first steps last month walking from Mom to Nan, now he just takes off. He has a problem with his brakes, they haven't kicked in yet and he runs until he falls. He took one smack to the back of the head and one face plant. Now he catches his head when he falls.He will not crawl, and will find something to pull himself up on. If not he sits and cries.
He waves, dances, sings, plays catch,and loves music, especialy music boxes.
Yesterday while sitting in my arms looking at pics on pc he got bored and was picking at some papers. I gave him an old envalope and the little darling picked up a pen and put it to the paper. His Mom and I were chin dropped.
Every day is a joy.

I just realized I never told you guys, my daughter didn't go into to labour when Colby was born.
She had a gallbladder attack days before her due date, so they just broke her water and labour started.
Two days after they went home she had another, they were afraid it was a blood clot after the birth, but found nothing and sent her home again.
It happened again and again, she would end up in emerg.
After some tests and months later, they found her gallbladder is full of stones, and could be from high estrogen levels from the pregnancy.
As she is planning on trying for # 2 in the coming months, she is having her gallbladder out on the 16th of Jan.
Yes next wed. and my nerves are shot.
They are going to do it in day surgery through a scope, but this is the first time she has been away from Colby.
He's breast fed, and still likes his boob before going to sleep.
How will I manage :P
She should only be gone for about 5 hours, but that's a long time in Colby time with out his Mom & her boobs.
And to think she'll be going back to work in March and Nanny will look after him then, so he'd better get used to it.
This will be our test run, so wish me luck will ye, and my daughter.
The worst case is if they have to open her up, and she has to stay in for a couple of days. ::07yikes::

Awwww Debbie I hope all is well with your daughter! I havent been over to check the board often anymore - but I think of Colby often! Noahs the same way with the boob - but Im in nursing school so he's learned to manage with daddy and Im sure Colby will too! And becoming a grandma again - are you ready for that?! hehe ???

Yes I've missed you.
The surgery was a sinch, she was tired and stiff for a couple of days, in a week she never knew she had it.
She still got an extra month off work for it ;)
She goes back on the 17th, and Colby is still a boobie brat.Though he's doing great during the now and just likes a good nurse before he goes to sleep.
Can you believe Jillian and Colby are a whole year old.
Colby is 24.7 pounds, eats like a horse, is finaly taking a nap, loves his books, puzzles, but his favorite has to be his kitchen.He has a thing for microwaves.
He's late cutting teeth and still only has six, 2 bottom front and 4 top front.
Jillian has most of hers.
He's a very calm boy, and oh so gentle with the animals. He gives the chins thier treats, but mostly wants to play with their cages.
It's a joy a minute.
And yes if Laura don't start taking her birth control more regular she'll be pregnant again very soon :D
She ready, wants them both close.Only having 2 she says.She'll get a year or so back to work and off again.
I'm glad beacuse I'm so young :Dand can realllllly enjoy them now.

I gotta go back to email and get one of Jillians new photos, she had her first hair cut already.
