Q & A / Chinchilla eyes
« on: November 08, 2015, 02:08:26 PM »
Hi,
Recently I've noticed one of my chinchillas, beneath one of  his eyes the fur has gone white where as before it was grey. Beneath the other eye the fur is grey like it should be. The chinchilla seems to be fine but it looks awkward. I'm not sure if this is natural or some sort of infection.

Thank you

Thanks for the great feedback guys
My chinchilla has just been sitting in the Cornor or under a box I've put in their cage. I'm not sure if he's sick or just still shocked about what happened? Is it best to just leave him for a few days?

What should I do I do?

I let my 2 chinchillas run around in the toilet and it was very silly of me but I didn't check them for about 2 hours and when I did i found one of them in my toilet. So I dont know if he was there for 5 minutes or the whole 2 hours. when I picked him up he was shivering and I wrapped him in a towel and put a heater on beside him. He's dried up now, but I'm still really worried.
Any suggestions?

Q & A / Taming a chinchilla
« on: July 20, 2015, 06:34:55 PM »
hi guys, i let my 2 chins run around in the toilet and i let them do this for about an hour at a time. However when it comes to catching them and putting them back in their cage this can be very frustrating. They always run away when i try catching them and its taken upwards of half an hour to do so to catch them. what does this mean? do they not like me or do they want more time to run around?
how can i tame or bond with them so they trust me? Ive had these guys for about 2 months now. love them but catching them is always irritating.

thanks

So I decided to clean my chinchilla cage and let my 2 chins run around in the toilet. When I caught them the first one was the fine yet the other chinchilla lost hair on his forehead as if he bumped his head on something. He's eating well and seems okay yet this doesn't look normal at all. Any suggestions? Did he injure himself? Sorry I can't upload picture file to large.

Thanks guys
