Title: White Teeth
Post by: chinclub on December 16, 2012, 10:09:39 AM
All chinchillas are born with white teeth. As they grow, their teeth turn a nice yellowish-orange.
If your ADULT chinchilla begins to develop whiter teeth it needs calcium. This
is usually only a problem in pregnant or nursing mothers. Calf Manna is a great source of
Calcium and can be mixed with her regular pellets. We give all of our chinchillas a mix
of 4 parts Chin Pellets to 1 part Calf Manna. If you don't have Calf Manna you can give
her 1/4 of a TUMS with calcium antacid tablet a day.
