Q & A / Re: Food, food and more!
« on: September 24, 2007, 03:51:12 PM »
Hey thanks for the great advice!! I'll try just that then because it was a great help to me! By the way my chins are 5 months old but I've had them for 3 days. Also, are any kind of raisins fine because I have these cranberyy raisins (Crasiins) and I wanted to know if they'll eat those.

Q & A / Food, food and more!

I never see my chinchilla's eating, and I was wondering if they ever eat at all. They are 2 females 1 ebony and 1 mosaic. Should I hand feed them pellets and how much food should they have per day?

General Chat / Re: where do you get your chinchilla wood???

Yes, do not keep the bark on the wood because that would be very harmful to your chin if he digests it.
Also, some try Pumice it's also really good as a chewing toy.  :2funny:

Thank you sooooo much! So the trick is raisins and papayas ? Okay I'll see and umm one more question, when the chinchilla is sleeping it will have it's eyes closed right ? But one of my chinchillas seems like it's sleeping (because it's not moving) but it has it's eyes open. Im not really sure.

Health / Scared Chinchilla ?
« on: September 23, 2007, 09:55:58 AM »
Hey, I'm new to this whole chinchillas thing but I wanted toask a question. Yesterday I got 2 chinchillas, 1ebony female and 1 mosaic female. I put them in a cage upstairs in my room and they're only 5 months old. I am wondering why do they frantically jump around when i try to touch them. I need advice because I don't think theyu're used to me yet. Does your chinchilla do this or is it just mine ?
