Title: double babies
Post by: rag on June 27, 2011, 07:02:06 PM
Both my couples had babies the same day. first set had one and the second set had 2. Last kit was still in with one set of parents so I took it out but have to leave the males in with family--- gotta build another cage

That's not good to leave dads with moms right after birth. The females are in heat so mark you calender for the next litters.
Congrats on the babies. ::bouncyball::I hope you get enough cages for the Nov. births.Breed backs are very taxing on the females. One doesn't usually cause too much problems, though you might want to increase their calcium. ::nod::

given the fact I have weird strange loving chinchillas, mine dont even do the hacky packie after she has had a baby.
he helps her with the baby. is that strange or what?

how do you give them calcium, no less than add more.

you can give fruit flavoured tums - a quarter every few days. my fluffy just took it and ate it like a nugget. also, alfalfa contains more calcium so you can add that.
