Q & A / Re: Dust Baths
« on: August 27, 2010, 12:42:12 PM »
I do not have a pink white but I do have a mosaic and she always before, after and during a dust bath looks whiter than ever...Her tail has a touch of gray and she looks like she has a goatee (SP?) that is gray but that is her color. Hmmm..will be ineteresting to see what others say! ::silly:: ::shrug::

Pellets are actually kept in a sterilized washed out cat littler tower container...seems to be fine...The rest of everything else, except for hay are kept in glass air tight jars taken from my workplace in which nuts and other forms of food were once transported and stored...never had a problem...My hay I just keep in the bag like a bread bag but with a bit of breathing room... My mother-in-law laughs because she says that the jars look like crystal containers like the commercial for Fancy Feast cat food where the white persian is eating from a crystal wine goblet...the glass jars look like that....I never said they were not spoiled  :2funny: rofl The room is cooler than the rest of the house where the chins are so that helps also.  ;D :D ::silly::

Breeding 101 / Re: Is this breeder crazy?
« on: August 10, 2010, 09:24:37 AM »
Wow...this is why I will NEVER take the chance.  :::((( The thought of having sweet, cute tiny little furr balls is just that...a wonderful thought. I have my first two males I purchased from PetSmart and have been fortunate enough NOT to have problems (knock-on-wood)...however, do I know anything about where they came from..NOPE!! I basically just wanted to take them away from being in a big plastic container where they don't belong! The females, I rescued from a teenager in NYS...he didn't want the responsibility of caring for them, he had them in his room and they kept him up all night. He took good care of them and did the best thing by giving them up. Did he know their bloodline? NO!...So just taking them and mixing them with each other is NOT going to happen..I refuse to take a chance in harming them in any way, shape or form for the sake of my own desire to have a cute little fuzz ball...The four are happy as they are, are spoiled rotten and to ruin that would be devastating. Sorry...virgins forever, my beautiful smart little creatures of God! All of these intelligent writings have sealed the deal for me..too much of a chance to take and not enough knowledge on my part! Thank you for all of the truly responsible people on this sight..you CANNOT sugar coat something of ths nature..it needs to be said and an inexperienced person needs to take into account what COULD happen....So be careful, be the wiser and do not take any crazy chances..Good Luck in your decisions!   :)

Hats off to you MIna for taking in that sweet baby boy! Everything happens for a reason and he was meant to be with you...He is a pretty lucky little guy...Best of Luck to you and your new addition to what sounds like one BIG happy family! HMMM  ::think::...name suggestion..think I might have to sleep on that one...or just take in and digest his behavior and actions and you will come up with a perfect name for him...that is what I did with mine..MIne, all 4, ARE their names totally!   :::grins::
