i hate spiders this is the third one i've seen tonite and they are the long brown ones with huge fangs i don't know what kind they are but i'm sure they bite i wish i knew how to keep them away ewww!!!

If cockroaches were an option they definately top my list!! Ewww ::scaredspeachless::
-
I don't like roaches either! But living in the country, we have snakes. They totally freak me out!! Just seeing one in the yard while I am in the house looking out the window it scares me to death!
-
I hate them too.

I hate roaches!!

I know that people hate mice and spiders, but I actually have a tarantula named Spike, and I had a Rat named Baby Girl. (The only thing I hate about rats are their tails. They're all scabby and scaly and dirty!) EEEEEWWWWW! ::scaredspeachless:: ::puke::
-
I can't belive you have a pet tarantula. That just gives me chills thinking about that. But the name is cute. I hate spiders. I can't even kill them, I have to have someone kill them. I'm not too big on snakes either. When I was younger, my brother had a pet baby snake. Our rooms are across from either other, and I couldn't sleep at night because I was afraid that he would get out and come in my room.
-
That's funny! We only gave tarantulas a try because they don't stink (that's one of my biggest things), and they are VERY low maintenance. If you give them a cricket every 3 months, and refill their water every once in a while, they're set to go!
-
Well in that case they don't sound to bad. I still wouldn't want one as a pet. I had hamsters or gerbils when I was younger and they ended up having babies. Then some how they got wet and smelled really bad. We had to give them away.

::scaredspeachless:: I've had a fear of spiders since I was 5 when a huge black and yellow harry spider jumped on me and covered the better part of the top of my leg and would not leave ... the fact my uncle had told me just a few minutes earlier to avoid them because they were poisonous didn't help the situation. From then, until I was twenty, I could not get close enough to a spider to kill it. What changed that? One was crawling towards my infant son and I had to protect him. :) Never underestimate the power of a mother when it comes to her child. ::nod::
Snakes are OK, as long as I know I am going to see one ... otherwise, I might make a new door trying to get away from it.
Scorpion is my sign, but I still don't think I would try to make friends with one.
Mice are cute, especially the little field mice with the big ears.
Roaches and flies are both in the same boat ... nasty, germ carrying creatures. Roaches are just more sneaky ... they come out in the dark.
How do you get rid of spiders? This really works, my father did it after he found out my fear of spiders. ::nod::
Find a farm where they grow tobacco. When the crop is harvested, ask the farmer for the stalks. Place the stalks in the attic end to end along the outer walls of the house. How it works I do not know ... all I know is that it does work. :::grins::

Huh, thats really interresting about the tabacco. I'm going to have to get some. I just don't think farms around here, which aren't many, grow tabacco. :(
-
I chose spiders given how small and poisonous they can be compared to snakes and scorpions. However, I don't mind any of those animals. In fact, I love snakes and I don't see how anyone can disagree that mice are freaking adorable. lol
-
I'm not afraid or nuttin.... :D
I used to be frantic around bees & spiders, but I just made myself get over it. I didn't want my kids to have the same fears. Did not work, Laura is horrified of spiders, though she's trying not to panic around her kids. ;D
I played with a friends tarantula, and now invite bees into my garden.
-
Yeah, I don't understand what's so frightening to people about these animals. They're tiny, really, chill. :/
-
their creppy. I don.t like snakes, but spiders are the worse. I still can't kill one, in less no once else is around, and then i have to use a shoe. I'v woken my mom up befor to kill one. I'm 24 and i'm pretty sure i'll always be scared of them.
-
I agree with Debbie...You have to face your fears in order to conquer them..I did that with my fear of snakes by holding a few pythons on my own...I still do not want one to "sneak" up on me but they were nothing what some people said...they are not at all slimy creatures! Not so bad after all!! Roaches???!!! EWWWWWWWW!!! Spiders...again as long as they do not sneak up on me! Spiders actually enter my dreams quite frequently and have plenty of meaning to their visits...if you are into dreams and their meanings..pretty accurate stuff! ;)

i live in england and we are lucky we rarely see snakes only in the country. but i hate hate hate spiders ::scaredspeachless::
there is an old tale that if you put conkers in the corners of you room it repells spiders!
