::silly::I've been meaning to post, but have been a bit busy.
We've had 1 litter of 2 ebony kits (2/18/07), a litter of 2 standard gray kits (03/08/07), and day before yesterday (03/11/07) ebony quads!
Our first set of quads for 2007.
Mom had a rough time with the quads ... the first came after a long labor ...
The second after another long session of labor and mom was to weak to take good care of it ....
I fooled with it for about 30 minutes ... fluid from the lungs and lots of stimulation, thinking several times that the kit had died, but would see a movement or hear a squeak about the time I'd given up.
At the 30 minute time slot, she gave birth to a third kit ... I swapped #2 with #3 and started drying and stimulating this little one. Mom was exhausted! After 25 minutes, I returned #3 kit to mom and she tucked it in under her and decided to rest.
Of course, I figured it was over, so I left her alone to rest ... only to find an hour later, there was a kit #4!
I didn't want to jinx her, so I waited to make sure all were going to make it before announcing it. It's been a little over 47 hours and all 4 ebony kits are doing great! :::grins::
