Once I saw a chinchilla living in one cage with a rat and they seemed ok  :) although i think it's  a bad idea to keep different species in one cage

yeah, I also think your chinnie is fine, my ones also run into things when they're put in a new place, or once when I removed a shelf out of their cage they jumped into air a few times, but after few jumps they understood that the shelf is removed ;D

Thanks a lot for your advice and help.

Yesterday I opened her eyes, but her mother repudiated her, so I started to hand-feed her. I got up every two hours in the night, and she started to look fine, but this morning, suddenly she just died.   ::cry222:::

It was terrible, I cried the whole day  :'(

Will mother chin be fine?

Q & A / Some problems with a newborn chinnie :/
« on: June 25, 2008, 12:36:25 PM »
This morning my lil' chinnie gave birth to two adorable kits.

Sadly, one of them died  ::cry222:::

The other one (Baniute) weights 35grams and is kinda aborted, her legs are still bare and she still hadn't open her eyes  :(
She squeeks, drinks her mommys milk and is a healthy chin, but i'm very concerned about her eyes  :-\

Is it normal?  :(
