I have the same problem. One of my chins "allows" me to pick him up and place him in the cage. HOWEVER..the other one is super-lightning fast 
and stubborn... and I usually have to put out of those elbow macaroni looking PVC pipes on the floor and lure him into it, then close it off @ both ends while I transport him safely back into their Chinnie Condo. PS the pic on the left is of my stubborn Bandit!

The happiest holiday is when you include family and chinchillas, especially with FOOD! Haha
Reminds me of when we were at Grandma's house.
She always baked cookies, oatmeal-raisin & peanut butter bars.
We would bring pets, presents, and Grandpa.
After it (the death of so sad so sad ...the new baby goldfish) ate and the thought was about contentness, chinchillas, Disneyland, and memories.
The goat named ChiChi Lou was eating toy tools at home with because THE grandkids gave chichi respect!
