Title: How do some people manage to produce those extra wide chins?

How do some people manage to produce those extra wide chins?
I have chins that are the right shape & thick through the neck  but I have noticed a few people have managed to produce chins that are  really exceptionally wide & absolutely gorgeous & wonder how have they managed to do that?
Did they pick out the widest chins to work with?
I think that is a part of the answer but there is a lot more to it which probably takes years!

Its all in careful pairing.  Its important to breed your best males to your best females that both have the exceptional traits you are looking for.  Then its a matter of patience.  Don't be discouraged if the first or second litters are not what you thought it would be.  I tend to give my pairings at least 2-3 litters before I decide that I made a mistake.

Ditto.
First litters are always a worry, on us and the dames. It takes a couple of litters to see if they will be good Moms too.
I look for wide foreheads, the butch look I call it, ears back, and no neck. A nice stocky looking animal.
At least one of the parents will have to have the look you want, to get it in the kits.
Both parents with these qualities will give you a better chance, but you'll still get some that will not have the look.
Breeding the best gives you the best chance, but Murphy's law will still show up.
