Title: Probably nothing but .... My chinnies are blue?!
Post by: Rachael29 on March 21, 2016, 03:56:04 PM
Hay guys! As I said probably nothing however both of my chinnies coco and shadow are blue .... I am assuming it is the colouring from a toy they have however their front and front paws have a blue tinge to them. The toys are from a
Chinchilla toy website and state they use non toxic colouring in sure I read somewhere food
Colouring. However my question is - is there anything I can do to get it out? Will it come
Out with them grooming each other. And will it harm them it being in their fur? I assume not however best to ask!
Thanks in advance!

Don't worry it will come out. The fur will grow out in a matter of weeks worst case and non toxic dye is non-toxic so don't worry about that either. Grooming is helpful. Maybe give them an extra dust bath or two to help accelerate the process but it's not going to bother them at all having it there.

It's funny. I thought I was going to find that you died your chinchilla for Easter.

Have fun.

Never seen it done with chins but I have seen a few cats and dogs decorated by people I've known.
