I've had Snickerdoodle for 1.5 years now, but I still don't understand the different noises he makes! Sometimes he sits on my back and barks gently in my ear. What does that vocalization mean?

Does it sounds sort of like a puppy?  They make that noise to each other as affection.

Yes, a little. He does it to me when he's sitting on my shoulder :3
