New Births / Mitzy had her babies!!!!!

mitzy finally had her babies on august 23rd a little beige girl and a white boy sadly the little boy didn't open his eyes and i called the vet who in return told me it would be fine and yesterday he passed away but lilly is thriving and such a cutie

My pregnant chin is due the 23rd of August and yesterday she was lying on her side and twitching and acting as though she was in labor that lasted for seven hours I had called the vet but while I was waiting for him to call back she suddenly stopped acting strange and has been fine since so what the heck happened??

does anyone know how to make oat paste i want to make my chinchillas their own treats but can't find a recipe for oat paste which is a good base for most treats i really would like to have this recipe thanks so much

one of my bengal cats got outside without us knowing and he has been gone for 4 days he is fixed and declawed and i'm worried he won't be able to defend himself i miss him so much every nite i go outside and call for him and i look everyday just in case he decides to come back but i haven't had any luck yet

Does anyones pregnant chin start to act a little strange a day or two before they give birth? My female is getting close and she won't even let me pet her anymore she kinda just huddles in the corner and sometimes she stretches but i don't think she is in active labor i need a little insight

the baby chin i just got is really sweet and loves to be scratched and held the only thing is that when you hold her she is always nipping usually it doesn't hurt but sometimes she does it too hard is there anyway i can break her of this or is it something i'm going to have to live with?

ok so i've seen a picture of one on the internet and i'm wondering if there is a specific combination of colors you have to breed to get this mutation it is beautiful i'd love to have one does anyone know more about this?

General Chat / depressed chin?

when i first started out i had three chins they were all housed together pikachu, mitzy and hugo mitzy went into heat and i seen hugo do his thing and i noticed the next day that pikachu looked depressed i moved mitz and hugo out to another cage together and it didn't get better only worse i finally got him a girlfriend and he perked right up so could it have been that he was upset that mitzy had chose hugo?

Is it odd for my chinchilla to have blue eyes? its the only one his son has brown and all my other chins do too except the beige obviously i was just wondering if anyone else has chins with blue eyes?
