Title: strange odor

hello again!
my male chin will excrete an odd odor when he is highly excited.
can anyone help me w/that one?

and what's w/all the poop?
i mean really? our rabbit didn't go this much.

I read this somewhere, Chinchillas eat, chew and poo, its just what Chinchillas do!

i have not come across change of odour when they're excited. what sort of smell is it?

a lot of poo is good! if he's not constantly pooing, you're (well, he is) in trouble, sometimes very big trouble.

yup, eat, chew and poop... as dian said, if you dont' see alot of poop, something is probably wrong. 

as for the smell, they souldn't smell... you might want to call your vet..

when scared they will give off a vitamin bottle type smell...that is nothing to worry about

That is the scared smell I was trying to explain in another post.  Only one of my rescued chins does this.

Yes it's like a bad "fart" and I have only smelled it when they are scared.

Oh, good!! I'm glad so many of you guys have experienced this now! My baby does this too, as I said in my post, "Baby-animal thing"! Good to know it's normal.

i do enough of them on my own.... don't need no chins doing it.    :2funny:
