Hi!
I just found this remarkable chinchilla forum and I just LOVE it!
I´m writing from Finland.. and I hope you guys know where Finland is? :::grins::
We have a small home hobby breeding of Royal Persian Angora chinchillas, this is truly my passion!
We have couple of the normal furried friends too.
Here is some pictures of our chins:

Welcome to the site. Your chinchillas are precious. Angora chinchillas are rare in the States so I look forward to hearing more about your herd. Is that a dominate or recessive gene?
-
Thank you! :)
Angoras are resessive (some say that they are also accumulative) and we have few Angora carriers to make full Angoras. This is quite exciting mutation to work with when you add all colors to it and try to get the best qualities to the breeding, add size (they are small mutation) and fur quality... ofcourse main target is to breed healty animals with good temperament.
I have been at this forum just so little while that I have not read so much, but interesting to see how you take care of chinchillas and all the different brands you have in chincaring, like food and bathdust...
I´m attending next weekend on Swedish chinchilla show and this is really exciting to travel there. I will take five of my own animals with me and see what will happend in the show.
I hope you do not get irritated on my "bad english", I will try to do my best. :::grins::
-
Your English is great. Good luck at the chinchilla show and let us know who you do. :)

I had a very pleasant day at the Swedish chinchilla show, and I think it went very well for my Angoras:
Violet Angora Trésor is first in her Junior Angora class and Best In Junior of all Juniors in the show, with 89,5 points as 100 is full points and she gained CERT.
Grey Angora,vc Tellus Soa is first in her senior Angora class with 85,5 points /100p, she gained also a CERT.
My other chinchillas went:
Angora carrier vc,sc Standard male Jagger is first in his Grey Junior class with 75 points
Blue diamond "Exi" is second in his class with 81 points
Black ebony "Xandra" is fourth in ebony female class, with 78,5 points
This was the second time I have been in Sweden with my chinchillas in show and next month I will attend to their next show in Tenhult. Very excited allready! :::grins::
-
Congratulations! That sounds like a great show day.
-
Your chinchillas look cute and congratulations on your show you did well =)
-
hi, nice to meet you.
your chinchillas are very very pretty, thanks for sharing the pictures, jean
-
Wow, those are beautiful! How much is the average cost for that mutation?
-
^Well it depends what color and quality Angora has. Here is one site that sells Angoras in US: http://www.chinchillas.com/listings/index2.cfm?listings=completed&category=713640948
I think the prices are very high there, but specialities allways costs much.
-
Whoa, those prices are scary. What's the highest you've ever sold?
-
I have all my Angoras for my own breeding, so full Angoras I have not sold yet.
-
Merry Christmas to everyone! "Santa Clause says Hello, from Finish Lappland!" :::grins::
