Okay so I have 2 Mesh Wheels.
I was using them for my chins but I learned that was a chinny no no. So I took them out. I'll just tell you about them and if anyone wants pictures let me know and I'll get you some.

Wheel #1
This wheel is yellow. It was in the cage with my boys since they were babies so it looks a bit rough. It doesn't look that bad though. $5

Wheel #2
This wheel is green. I bought it in June and put it in the cage with my female chin. It might have been in the cage for maybe 5 weeks. It looks new and is in great condition. $10

Both wheel are Giant 11" diameter.
Can take pictures if anyone wants me too.
Will take $13 for both
These are good for pet rats

We've been able to move the drawing date up to September 1 at 10 p.m. EST (from October 13 at 10 p.m. EST). This is due to the generosity of a couple/few donors.

The only thing that has changed, is that the winners will find out a month sooner that they've won.

Winners will still be notified via email, posted first name/last initial on the forum, Wunderchins Store and Finally Home Chinchillas site.

Also, due to their kind and thoughtful generosity, Ryu and Ninja will be able to come to the mainland on September 13, rather than October 15. This will be wonderful both for them and the rest of their family. Daisha and her two small children will be following them within a week.

Thanks again, and make sure to buy your tickets!

Thanks for replying.

I've been doing a lot of reading ever seen I was told she might be pregnant but she didn't think she was.

I just want to be prepared.

Better safe than sorry...you know.

Breeding 101 / Possibly Pregnant
« on: August 09, 2008, 12:47:46 PM »
Heyy All,

I was looking for a female chin not long ago and I found one. I told the breeder that I wanted her, this female is a proven female who is a couple years old. She was in the cage with a male who wasn't proven. They were put in the cage together on July 1st. *which was before I decided to get her* Anyways, the breeder that I'm getting her from says that she might be pregnant. But I'm isn't 100% sure. I've already paid the deposit and done a lot of research in the last month or so.

Could she be pregnant?
If so, when should she be due?

How could I tell for sure if she's pregnant?

Thanks in advance  :) ;)

Wunder Chins (forum and store), Nick's Animal Place, Jayda's Critter House, DD's Dog House and Finally Home Chinchillas are holding a raffle to bring Ryu and Ninja to the mainland.
Daisha's husband is in the military. They're currently in Hawaii, but on October 15, they need to ship their pets to the mainland.

First, a little about the pets.
Ryu was a rescue that Daisha took in in March 2006. Ryu came to her in a small, rusty cage with horrible food. Daisha has done a wonderful job restoring his health and personality. She switched him to Tradition, high-quality hay and dust, and just recently got him a Quality Mansion. She is very dedicated to Ryu, and orders his food and hay from the mainland. It would be horrible if they were separated. Ryu would probably end up in a neglectful home, forced to breed, or maybe let loose outside (once he's no longer cute).
Ninja was rescued from starvation when he was just a few weeks old. Daisha's family is the only one he knows. He's growing into a happy and playful cat, and he adores Jaiden and Michael. There are so many unwanted cats in Daisha's neighborhood, and we don't want Ninja to end up in the same situation.

They are why we're holding this raffle. 100% of the proceeds go to buying the airfare and carriers to bring these two to the mainland. We have reliable, respectable people who are willing to foster them until Daisha and her family get settled.

Our goal is to raise $524, to cover the cost of tickets. It is $262 for Ryu and $262 for Ninja. Because the prizes are donated, and the prize shipping is also covered, 100% of the money raised will go directly toward the tickets.

All of the prizes have been donated by non-smoking individuals or stores that we know and trust. We have a very long list of prizes, and the raffle is arranged so that people can buy tickets for each area. We have grand, first, second and third place prizes in the following categories: Humans, Dogs, Cats, Chinchillas.

The price for tickets
$1.00 per ticket
$4.00 for 5 tickets
$12.00 for 15 ticketes
$15.00 for 20 tickets

We are asking that you purchase the raffle tickets through the Wunderchins! Store.
http://wunderchins.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=35&products_id=210

Because this raffle is so large, and we have so many different categories, we're writing people's full names on slips of paper and putting them in the appropriate raffle drawing boxes. For example, say you buy 5 tickets for the Chinchilla Raffle. We'll write your name on 5 slips of paper, and put them in the Chinchilla Raffle box. This will help us eliminate number errors and drawing errors.

The drawing will be a blind drawing, meaning that the papers are folded, and the person will be reaching in to bags to pull out the winning names.
The drawing will be October 13 at 10 p.m. We understand that this seems like a long time away, but we need to make sure we have enough to cover Ryu and Ninja's tickets and carriers.
