That's what I though too, a boy.
No, don't worry, right now I don't have plans to breed him. Now I know he's a boy then I'll put him with his dad in the same cage in case he'll interbreed with Mom.

Thank you all for your comments. I've uploaded a better photo this time. Based on my observation, it SEEMS to be a boy because of the space between the anus and the cone. Right?
This kit is almost 3 months old. When will s/he reach sexual maturity? Different websites say different things...

To answer your question, I guess the best way is to remove all the ledges. Falling onto the ground/floor is always bad for all kinds of animals. They can hurt their back or neck or whichever part that hits the floor of the cage. So for the sake of the health of your chins, it's wise to sacrifice some of their fun for safety. That'll be my advice. Good luck on your chins and hope they won't fall again!

The regular metal exercise wheel may have one problem... My boy chin's feet were bleeding after playing on that wheel probably due to the screw heads that stick out inside the wheel and also the line of suture of the aluminum. We had to smoothen it out with our files, and it was NOT a fun job...

I need some help on determining the sex of my baby chin. I need to know before I can decide whether to separate the baby from the Mom when it reaches its sexual maturity. I put a photo of its genital area in my album. Simply click my nickname on the left for the link that will bring you to my profile. The photos are at the bottom of the page. 1. An error occurred when I tried to upload a <100KB photo to a new topic that I wanted to post. The error message said that the upload folder is full...
2. The preview function of the message is useless because I couldn't find a way to edit my message before posting when I spotted some mistakes.
3. I hit the back button and my message was all gone, I had to type it all over again.
