Is she really PREGNANT?
« on: August 06, 2007, 01:36:04 PM »

::shrug::  I am concerned.  We took in an entire family about 2 months ago.  Momma, daddy and 2 four month old kits.  I assumed momma was pregnant again based on what her owners told us.
Momma had gained alot of weight here and went from 623g to 714g.  In the past 9 days she has lost 29 grams.
We did hear the kits heartbeat(s) within the past week.

What could be happening?  When our Mia was pregnant she gained weight every day of her pregnancy, and never lost ANY!!!

I would say kits could be here any day.
I find a small drop in weight just before delivery, maybe a week. Then it stops for a couple of days, and kits are born.
I weigh once a week after I feel life to get an idea on when to expect kits, when I don't know the date of conseption. I usually feel life a month before delivery, and when I see a weight drop I know it's very close.
No two pregnancies are alike, nor are two dames. ;)
